Indiana Not The Exception In Facing Downfall In Poker Rooms Rake

The 125 table poker room in the state of Indiana collected $1.54 million last month; this is the figure that has come from state gambling regulators.


The collection is 6.5 percent, down from April 2016, last year at the same time; the collection was $1.65 million.

The highest rank among all the casinos in the state was of Horseshoe Casino Hammond, casino had the revenue of $777,000, the second highest position was taken by Horseshoe Casino Southern Indiana with the rake of $293,000, at third position it was Tropicana Evansville which ranked $164,000, fourth was Majestic Star Casino with the rack of $134,000, and fifth was Blue Chip Casino having the rack $90,000, sixth rank was secured by the Hollywood Casino Indiana which had the rack of $71,000 and at the seventh position it was Belterra Casino which racked $19,000. The casino Horseshoe Casino Hammond is the largest of kind in the state and it is located near Chicago (less than 20 miles), this is a metro area and the place has the population of approximately 9.5 million people. Year-over-year, the revenue of poker here has fallen to 6.3 percent. The casino has a 34 table room.

There are 13 gambling facilities present in the state and out of 13 seven have the poker rooms. However, the data of $183.5 million is of combined 13 properties.

In the state, Poker represented nearly one percent of complete gaming win over the last month, it is about the same percentage that poker has in the state of Nevada. The downfall in revenue of poker rooms is not limited to Indiana, but the Sin City, Las Vegas too have been impacted with this downfall, some poker rooms have been closed here for the reason.
